Healthcare Assistant

An exciting opening has come up with one of Excel Healthcare’s clients based in Dublin 5. We are actively recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for this large and modern care home, which opened its doors recently.

Our client is a well-known healthcare facility, with a reputation for providing a high standard of care. The home offers long-term residential care, step-down care, and respite for adults with varying dependencies and conditions. The care team assists the residents with all activities of daily living, under the direction of the nurse on duty. This client is passionate about ensuring staff feel appreciated and supported. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant of any level to join a friendly and encouraging new work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with their personal care needs
• Providing emotional support to residents
• Implementing individualised care plans under the guidance of the nursing team
• Reporting any change in a resident’s condition to the nurse in charge

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of: Care Skills and Care of the Older Person QQI modules
• Experience in a similar role is beneficial
• Knowledge of infection control protocols
• Caring and compassionate approach to care
