Head of Retail Sales & Operations – Dublin Based with Travel

Excel Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Head of Retail to lead sales, operations and commercial performance across a well-established, multi-site retail business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, hands-on retail leader with a strong background in fashion, lifestyle, homewares or high-volume retail, who is passionate about operational excellence, outstanding customer service and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sales, commercial performance and retail operations across multiple locations.
• Take responsibility for a team of senior Store Managers, providing strong leadership, coaching and direction.
• Drive sales growth, profitability, operational efficiencies and exceptional customer service standards.
• Oversee high-volume retail operations, ensuring consistency in store standards, stock management and commercial execution.
• Develop high-performing management teams, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and service excellence.
• Take ownership of budgets, P&L performance, labour costs and key retail KPIs.
• Identify commercial opportunities and implement strategies to maximise performance.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Head of Retail, Head of Operations, Senior Regional Manager or equivalent multi-site retail leader
• Strong background in fashion, lifestyle, homewares or a comparable high-volume retail environment.
• Demonstrable experience leading and developing a team of senior Store Managers or equivalent operational leaders.
• Exceptional operational expertise, with experience managing significant sales volumes and complex retail environments.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and retail standards.
• Strong commercial acumen, financial awareness and P&L management experience.
• A visible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, influence and develop senior retail teams.

Location: Dublin based, with travel required.
