An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Head Chef to take ownership of a busy, high-volume catering operation in Co. Kildare.
This role is ideal for a strong kitchen leader who enjoys developing teams, driving standards, creating innovative food offerings, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation while working closely with senior management to ensure culinary excellence and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Develop fresh, innovative, and seasonal menus.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and customer service.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Monitor food costs, labour costs, and kitchen budgets to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, health & safety, and company procedures.
- Manage hospitality, corporate, and special event catering requirements.
- Oversee kitchen maintenance and equipment servicing schedules.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop kitchen team members.
- Prepare staff rosters and effectively manage labour resources.
- Collaborate closely with management to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop kitchen teams.
- Strong experience managing food costs, budgets, stock control, and purchasing.
- Excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Creative, passionate, and committed to delivering high-quality food experiences.
- A hands-on leader with a positive attitude and strong commercial awareness.
