Head Chef Job in Kildare

Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Head Chef Job to work with an excellent organization based in Kildare. This candidate will have the responsibility of producing and serving up to 500 meals per day in a production kitchen. The salary for this position is €50-53k per annum depending on experience working 5 over 7 days on daytime shifts.

Our client has rebuilt a state-of-the-art kitchen and will be opening their property in 3-4 weeks and are looking for a Head Chef to complete the kitchen team. This is an excellent property on beautiful grounds and candidates must have their own transport as this property is not accessible by public transport.

Duties of Head Chef Job:

• Develop and manage the production kitchen and service points for residents and staff
• Ensure all meals are prepared on schedule
• Responsibility for total food safety and implementation of HACCP
• Implementing best practice to optimize resources and meeting budgetary targets and establishing financial forecasts
• Organizing, leading, and motivating a team of 10 in the kitchen
• Recruiting, training, and upskilling the team as well as themself
• Ensuring hygiene and HACCP implementation in accordance with regulation
• Planning menus and adhering to dietary requirements

As the Head Chef the position objective is to deliver an excellent service to residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors. The Head Chef’s primary focus is to provide its service users with a quality focused experience, while managing the day to day running of a busy kitchen

Requirements for this Head Chef Job in Kildare:

• London City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2, NCCB or equivalent
• Primary Food Hygiene Training, EHOA Accredited
• Kitchen Management experience in a busy kitchen catering for 3-500 daily
• Experience in Food Safety Practices
• Ability to manage all staff in a professional manner and develop positive relationships
• Effective planning, organizing and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong management and interpersonal skills with clients and staff

Candidates must be available to work 5 over 7 days
Candidates must have their own transport to and from work
Garda Clearance & Medical Questionnaire will need to be completed if successful for this Head Chef Job
