Fresh Food Manager – Ennis, Co. Clare

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fresh Food Manager to lead the fresh food department of a high-performing retail store in Ennis, Co. Clare.

This role offers a competitive salary of €55,000-€60,000, ongoing training and development opportunities, and clear pathways for career progression within a growing retail group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop, and motivate the fresh food team to achieve performance targets
• Ensure excellent product quality, presentation, and availability across all fresh food categories
• Drive sales growth and margin improvement through effective planning and execution
• Manage stock control, ordering, waste reduction, and supplier relationships
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations
• Implement strong merchandising and promotional strategies
• Deliver outstanding customer service and respond to customer feedback
• Schedule staffing effectively to meet business needs

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in fresh food management or senior supervisory role in retail or food service
• Strong knowledge of fresh food operations (deli, bakery, butchery, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing KPIs (sales, margin, waste)
• Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Passion for food, retail, and customer service
