Food Safety and Quality Manager

€52000 - €57000 Hotel & Catering Bray, Dublin South

We are partnering with a well-established and growing food business seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Manager to lead and develop their food safety and quality function on a 12-month contract basis.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of safety, legality, and quality, while embedding a strong quality culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, implement, and continuously improve the Food Safety & Quality Management System
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRC (or equivalent) standards and all relevant legislation
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring the site is always audit-ready
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, food safety, and operational processes
  • Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and incidents, implementing corrective and preventative actions
  • Develop and deliver food safety training programmes across the business
  • Oversee supplier approvals and ensure raw materials meet required standards
  • Monitor quality KPIs, analyse data trends, and report on performance to senior leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team to ensure high performance and engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and technical teams to drive best practices

About You

  • Proven experience in a Food Safety / Quality Manager or senior QA role within food manufacturing, retail, or hospitality
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation, and quality systems
  • Experience managing audits (e.g., BRC, customer, regulatory)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
