Financial Accountant

I am recruiting a Financial Accountant based in Ballymount, South Dublin and please note this job is full-time office based with no hybrid – it is essential that any applicant can commute easily to this location.

My client is an established construction and engineering business delivering large-scale projects across Europe.

Their services span design, construction and commissioning, bringing together a wide range of technical expertise to provide end-to-end solutions for clients.

The team is growing and they are looking for a qualified accountant ideally with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.

Salary & Package

• €60k-€75k negotiable but must reflect experience
• 21 days holidays
• 2% Pension contribution rising to 5% after 12 months

Responsibilities for the job of Financial Accountant:

• Lead involvement in period end close activities and preparation of management accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Ensure company balance sheets are fully reconciled on a regular basis, including intercompany account movements
• Maintain bank reconciliation integrity at all times; oversee payroll preparation and cashflow monitoring
• Reconcile and report key costs across P&L and business streams; conduct monthly budget holder reviews
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls
• Participate actively in the annual budget process
• Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts for individual entities and liaise with external auditors
• Deliver financial KPI reporting across business streams; present monthly reports to the Finance Director
• Provide timely, accurate responses to ad hoc information requests from various stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the finance team, including supervision of team members
