Electronic Technician – Galway

Excel Recruitment is currently hiring a skilled and motivated Electronic Technician on behalf of our client, a leading name in the entertainment industry based in Galway. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced technical team, where you’ll work with modern electronic systems and support operations through effective troubleshooting and maintenance.

This position is perfect for someone with a genuine interest in technology, who enjoys working with PC-based systems, electronic repairs, and hands-on diagnostics.

Salary: €35k – €40k

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on various devices, including touchscreens and peripherals
• Provide technical support and clear explanations to non-technical staff and customers
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment issues
• Follow all company procedures and ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards
• Take part in continuous improvement projects and suggest process enhancements
• Assist in the mentoring and training of junior team members
• Oversee inventory and spare parts, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
• Be available to travel to other locations when required to support company needs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in electronics repair, PC/laptop servicing, or technical support roles
• Confident in soldering and replacing electronic components such as chips and capacitors
• Solid understanding of circuit diagnostics and fault finding techniques
• Recognised qualification in electronics or equivalent hands-on repair experience
• Keen interest in technology and learning new equipment
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, using sound judgement
• A full driving licence and access to transport is an advantage, but not essential
