Retail Duty Manager – Limerick

Our client, a highly successful international big box retailer, is seeking a Duty Manager to join their leadership team in one of their busy Limerick stores. With ongoing expansion across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing retail brand.

The Duty Manager will support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations, focusing on delivering excellent customer experiences, maintaining high standards across the store, and driving performance across all departments. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a proactive attitude.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a supervisory or managerial retail role, along with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team to achieve sales targets, KPIs, and excellent customer service standards.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the store, including stock management, merchandising, and maintaining a well-organised sales floor.
  • Manage staffing levels, ensuring the team is motivated and performing effectively.
  • Analyse sales reports and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, seasonal displays, and events to drive footfall and sales.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a management role within a high-volume retail environment, ideally in big box, grocery, or non-food retail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large team of 30+.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Analytic mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
