Retail Duty Manager – Limerick

Our client, one of the most successful big box retail chains is seeking to recruit a Duty Manager to join their leadership team in one of their busy stores in Limerick. With their expansion across Ireland, UK and Europe this is a great opportunity to be part of their growth and progression and gain invaluable experience.

The job of Retail Duty Manager is to work closely and support the Store Manager on all operations and commercial activity. You will drive, mentor and coach store department experts and colleagues in delivering and exceeding KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team to achieve sales targets, KPIs, and excellent customer service standards.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the store, including stock management, merchandising, and maintaining a well-organised sales floor.
  • Manage staffing levels, ensuring the team is motivated and performing effectively.
  • Analyse sales reports and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, seasonal displays, and events to drive footfall and sales.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a management role within a high-volume retail environment, ideally in big box, grocery, or non-food retail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large team of 30+.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Analytic mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
