Deli Manager – Cork City

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Deli Manager for a busy and well-established convenience retailer in Cork City.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong fresh food manager who is passionate about food, people and delivering excellent standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day running of a busy deli and fresh food department
• Lead, train and motivate the deli team
• Prepare staff rosters and manage daily task allocation
• Oversee fresh food preparation and production
• Manage ordering, stock levels and availability
• Monitor sales, margins and waste
• Ensure excellent standards across merchandising and counter presentation
• Maintain full HACCP and food safety compliance
• Ensure cleaning, hygiene, allergen and temperature-control procedures are followed
• Train and develop new and existing team members
• Introduce new products and fresh food ideas

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Deli Manager, Fresh Food Manager or Senior Deli Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety
• Experience managing and developing a fresh food team
• Confident with rosters, ordering, stock and waste control
• Strong commercial awareness around sales and margins
• Hands-on management style with a passion for fresh food
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
