Deli Chargehand

Here at Excel Recruitment, we are currently seeking a Deli Chargehand for our client’s busy deli counter based in Wicklow.

Our client is an Irish-owned retail business, who pride themselves on their state-of-the-art stores, along with their fantastic store teams. They are now seeking to expand their team in their busy Arklow branch and seek a candidate who will bring experience in fresh foods, with a working knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.

Our client seeks an ambitious and driven candidate, who has the ability to manage a team and work well in a high-pressures, fast-paced environment.

There is a fantastic starting salary of €38k DOE on offer for the successful candidate

Requirements for this job:

• Previous experience managing a team of staff
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP & Food Safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• A passion for high-quality food and cooking

Duties include:

• Training and developing staff
• Following HACCP and Food Safety regulations
• Stock ordering and stock rotation
• Managing waste and margin
• Leading the team in terms of customer service
• Creating new deli recipes and ideas
