Credit Control Team Leader – Citywest, Dublin

My client is a well-recognised Irish retail business with over 150 stores nationwide.

They are recruiting an experienced Credit Control Team Leader who will report to the group financial controller and will be overseeing credit policies, managing accounts, and minimising financial risk through effective debt collection strategies.

The role will oversee a team of 2 credit controllers and will include high volumes of telephone and written communication with customers.

Ideal skills required for the job of Credit Control Team Leader:

  • Strong knowledge of credit management and collection procedures
  • Proven team management experience
  • Proficient in SAP Business One or similar ERP system

Salary & Package:

  • Salary €40k-€45k may be negotiable but must reflect experience

Responsibilities for the job of Credit Control Team Leader:

  • Manage the credit control function, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Manage a team of 2 credit controller and set up performance KPIs and reviews
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to ensure timely payment
  • Develop and implement credit control strategies and policies to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Monitor the creditworthiness of customers and make decisions regarding payment settlement discount
  • Proactively identify and resolve credit control issues and escalate them when necessary.
  • Perform regular credit risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Analyse and report on relevant credit control metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with credit control regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as commercial and operation team to improve credit control processes and resolve customer disputes.
