Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading international organisation to recruit a Commercial Director for the Irish market.

This is a senior leadership opportunity with a highly established global business operating across technology-enabled solutions and commercial services. With significant international reach and continued investment in innovation and growth, the company is seeking an ambitious commercial leader to drive strategic growth across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities for this role include

  • Develop and deliver the commercial growth strategy for the Irish market
  • Drive sales performance, revenue growth, and profitability across the business
  • Lead and manage all commercial activities including sales, pricing, forecasting, and customer strategy
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients and strategic partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and contract discussions
  • Collaborate closely with operational, finance, marketing, and international teams to ensure strong commercial execution
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making
  • Drive accountability and performance across the commercial function through clear KPI management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team
  • Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and technology-driven commercial solutions
  • Ensure commercially sound decision-making aligned with operational excellence and customer delivery

Experience required for this role include:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role
  • Strong background within FMCG, pharmacy retail, retail services, technology, or complex B2B environments
  • Demonstrated success delivering sustainable revenue growth and commercial performance
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial planning capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen including forecasting and margin management
  • Experience working within multinational or matrix-led organisations is highly advantageous
  • Customer-focused, commercially driven, and highly results-oriented
