Chef de Partie – Boutique Hotel, Kilkenny

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a beautiful and well‑established 4‑star boutique hotel in Kilkenny, for an experienced and versatile Chef de Partie. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who loves variety and thrives in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

The property offers a diverse culinary operation, giving you exposure to busy gastro‑style bar food, à la carte restaurant service, and banquet events. You’ll work alongside a talented and supportive kitchen team known for their high standards and positive working culture.

What you’ll be doing

• Producing high‑quality dishes across multiple outlets including gastro bar food, à la carte dining, and banqueting.
• Managing your section efficiently, ensuring top‑class mise en place, consistency, and smooth service.
• Working closely with senior chefs on seasonal menus, specials, and creative input.
• Maintaining excellent food safety, kitchen hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Supporting with stock rotation, ordering, waste management, and portion control.
• Contributing positively to a strong, collaborative, and well‑established kitchen team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a busy hotel, restaurant, or gastro‑style environment.
• Experience across bar food, à la carte, and/or banqueting is highly beneficial.
• A passion for producing high‑quality, consistent dishes.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and HACCP.
• Own transport required.
• Open to those relocating – discounted staff accommodation available.
