Catering Assistant – Cork

We are currently recruiting a dependable, experienced, and self-motivated Catering Assistant to join our team in the Cork region for daytime shifts. This position is ideal for someone with previous catering or food service experience who is comfortable working independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation as required
• Operate the till, process transactions accurately, and provide efficient service
• Serve customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner
• Set up and maintain food service areas to a high standard
• Ensure all food service areas, equipment, and workspace are clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene regulations
• Follow all health, safety, and HACCP procedures at all times
• Work independently, managing tasks efficiently to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements for Catering Assistants

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or in a similar food-service role
• Experience with till operation and customer-facing service
• Coffee-making experience is desirable
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
  (HACCP and Manual Handling certificates required; training can be facilitated)
• Punctual, reliable, and well-presented
