Butchers Wanted – All Levels – Dublin & Cork

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for a range of exciting Butcher opportunities across Dublin and Cork. We are seeking Apprentice Butchers, Skilled Butchers, and Supermarket Butchers to join several leading retail and food businesses.

Whether you’re an experienced butcher looking for your next challenge or someone eager to begin a rewarding career in butchery, we have opportunities to suit all levels of experience.

What We Offer:

• Competitive hourly rates of €16.00 – €20.00 per hour
• Multiple opportunities across Dublin and Cork

Responsibilities:

• Cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, and preparing meat products for sale
• Ensuring all products are displayed attractively and correctly priced
• Weighing, packaging, labelling, and merchandising products
• Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and food safety
• Performing quality checks on meat products and adhering to HACCP procedures
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas
• Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory control
• Delivering exceptional customer service and product knowledge
• Assisting with deliveries and customer orders
• Working effectively as part of a busy team environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Butcher is desirable (training opportunities available for apprentices)
• Strong knowledge of meat products, preparation techniques, and food safety standards
• Experience within a supermarket, retail, or traditional butcher environment is advantageous
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for the trade
