Assistant Merchandiser

We are looking for a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail and are recruiting an Assistant Merchandiser for our client based in Dublin City Centre.

Key Responsibilities for this Assistant Merchandiser job include:

• Drive sales and availability through adequate supply and demand planning.
• Achieve key targets in availability, wastage, and inventory management.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with GSCOP.
• Optimise forecasting and ordering to improve fulfilment and delivery accuracy.
• Facilitate product launches, promotions, and seasonal planning per the critical path.
• Ensure accurate system setup and forecasting at product and store levels.
• Collaborate with store performance teams to manage peaks, events, and feedback.
• Oversee peak planning, supplier management, and stock holding for smooth operations.
• Support payment resolution and process improvements for operational efficiency

Requirements for this Assistant Merchandiser job include:

• Supply and Demand Planning experience with a major retailer or similar environment.
• Passion for food retail and understanding customer needs.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, able to anticipate and solve issues.
• Strategic and data-driven mindset for forecasting and inventory management.
• Analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management across teams.
• Resilient, proactive, and team-oriented, with a “can-do” attitude.
