Assistant Manager – Technology

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-known retailer for an Assistant Manager to join their successful technology department in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven retail professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record in sales. We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates from computers, consumer electronics, telecommunications, gaming, appliances, or other high-ticket retail environments.

As Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in leading a busy and fast-paced sales environment, ensuring exceptional customer service while driving revenue and team performance. You’ll be responsible for motivating a high-performing sales team, maintaining excellent operational standards, and ensuring customers receive expert advice on a wide range of technology products.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous retail management or supervisory experience
• Strong sales background within computers, technology, telecommunications, consumer electronics, gaming, or other high-value retail sectors
• Passionate about technology and confident discussing technical products with customers
• Proven ability to deliver and exceed sales targets
• Strong leadership skills
• Customer-centric and highly motivated
• Ambitious and eager to progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the daily management of a high-volume technology department
• Drive sales performance and achieve departmental targets
• Lead, coach, and develop a customer-focused sales team
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through expert product knowledge
• Monitor KPIs and implement initiatives to maximise sales opportunities
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and stock presentation
• Ensure strong operational and inventory controls
• Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management
• Promote a positive and results-driven team culture
