Supermarket Assistant Manager – Tipperary

Excel Recruitment is seeking an energetic and motivated Supermarket Assistant Manager to join our client’s supermarket in Tipperary.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join Ireland’s biggest supermarket chain and to support the Store Manager in leading the team, optimising store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Salary: €50k – €55k

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in leading and developing a team to achieve store objectives and deliver excellent customer service
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally
• Assist in managing inventory levels, reducing wastage, and ensuring stock availability
• Support the implementation of merchandising plans, maintaining the store’s visual standards, and coordinating promotional activities
• Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Help drive store sales, contribute to achieving financial targets, and manage budgets effectively

• Experience in a supervisory role in a supermarket or retail environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Dedication to providing outstanding customer service
• Ability to handle challenges efficiently and effectively
