Assistant Manager

Excel Recruitment currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our client, a well-established and iconic Irish retail chain. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager with grocery/non-food/fashion experience looking to join a large company where substantial retail business management exposure and professional development is on offer.

As Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of your store. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and optimal performance across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Store Manager with all commercial and operational management
• Driving sales, service, and KPI’s throughout the store
• Managing, motivating, and encouraging the team
• Analysing trading reports for all departments and reacting accordingly
• Ensuring excellent store standards
• Carrying out regular stock takes to identify profit loss threats
• Ensure company policies and procedures are implemented

Skills and experience required:

• 3+ years of management experience in grocery, non-food, or fashion retail
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Strong decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving abilities
• KPI-driven with experience in analyzing budgets and financials

Salary package:

• 35-40K depending on experience
