Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing within a purpose-built luxury nursing home located in North Dublin designed to fulfil the individual needs of the elderly in comfortable settings while promoting independence.

The ideal candidate for this role would have previous managerial experience within the Irish nursing home system. This role will suit someone living in North Dublin and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Nursing:

• Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals.
• Work alongside the multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring effective communication while demonstrating commitment to our client’s core values.
• Taking part in the induction and training of new staff.
• Engaging in the quality and safety management system to guarantee adherence to HIQA guidelines.
• Conducting clinical audits and following up on the results.
• Communicating with all staff on a regular basis.

Requirements for this ADON job:

• Hold active NMBI Registration Pin.
• Proven managerial experience of at least 3 years.
• High levels of organisational and communication skills.
• A compassionate approach to care for the elderly.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
