Assistant Catering Manager

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Hospitality Manager on behalf of our client, a leading provider of high-volume catering and hospitality services, based in Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to progress their career in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day hospitality and event operations
  • Supervise staff and allocate duties effectively
  • Assist with stock control, deliveries, and weekly stocktakes
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and presentation
  • Handle customer queries and ensure excellent service delivery
  • Support event coordination and client relationship management
  • Balance tills and manage daily cash procedures
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and health & safety standards are met
  • Assist in training and developing team members

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality/catering management
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on, flexible approach (including evenings/weekends)
  • Full clean EU driving licence (essential)
  • Valid work permit for Ireland
