Responsibilities of the Area Cleaning Manager

• Lead the delivery of cleaning services across multiple sites
• Ensure all contractual KPIs and service standards are achieved
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage and develop cleaning management teams and frontline staff
• Oversee recruitment, training, workforce planning, and employee engagement
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Conduct regular service reviews and performance meetings
• Manage labour budgets, operational costs, and resource allocation
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety and regulatory requirements
• Monitor audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes
• Manage equipment, cleaning materials, and supplier relationships
• Produce performance reports and operational updates for stakeholders

Requirements of the Area Cleaning Manager

• Proven experience in a senior cleaning operations or facilities management role
• Strong multi-site management experience
• Experience managing large teams in a service-led environment
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
• Knowledge of cleaning standards, compliance, and health & safety regulations
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Full driving licence with flexibility for travel
