Assistant Manager – Arts & Stationery – Swords

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Manager to join a well-established arts, crafts and stationery retailer in Swords.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail supervisor or Assistant Manager who has a genuine interest in arts, stationery, creative products and customer service. You’ll be joining a busy, product-led environment where great merchandising, knowledgeable service and an engaging customer experience are key.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the store, supporting the team, driving sales and ensuring customers receive an excellent experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
• Lead, motivate and develop the team to deliver excellent service and strong results
• Drive sales and identify opportunities to improve store performance
• Deliver a friendly, knowledgeable and engaging customer experience
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and product presentation
• Support stock management, deliveries, administration and reporting
• Ensure company procedures and health and safety standards are maintained
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence
• Create a positive and energetic working environment for the team

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader within retail
• A genuine interest in arts, crafts, stationery or creative retail
• A strong customer-focused approach
• Confident people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• A hands-on management style and willingness to lead from the shop floor
• Strong merchandising and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
