Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an Assistant Psychologist on behalf of a Children’s Primary Care Team in Lucan/Adamstown. This is an exciting opportunity to join a pilot project team focused on enhanced multidisciplinary working, supporting children with complex needs and their families.

About the Role:

Our client has a Psychology Assistant post available on a full-time basis for an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. This new staff member will join the existing team in supporting the delivery of a range of services which include referral triage and first line service communication, parent advice clinics, group interventions, psycho-education courses and some individual assessment and psychology intervention services. The Psychology Assistant will typically be involved in supporting the children’s primary care psychology service. Staff are co-located with and work alongside other Psychology and multi-disciplinary primary care colleagues. Induction and training will be provided.

Regular supervision will be provided by Psychology team members.

Eligibility Criteria:ntial.

  • A minimum of a 2.1 Honours Degree in Psychology (required for future postgraduate training routes).
  • Eligible for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • Previous experience (paid or voluntary) working with children, families, or mental health services is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A strong interest in primary care, early intervention, and child development.
  • Full driver’s license and access to own transport is preferred
