Excel are looking for an experienced and adaptable Relief Chef to join our team, providing support across a range of contract catering clients throughout the Waterford region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys variety, thrives in different kitchen environments, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food and service wherever they’re needed.

As a Relief Chef, you’ll provide temporary kitchen support across multiple client sites, including:

• Covering planned annual leave and holidays
• Providing emergency cover for sickness or unexpected absences
• Supporting the launch of new catering contracts and site openings
• Assisting kitchens during busy periods or when additional support is required
• Maintaining high food quality, hygiene, and presentation standards at every location

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef in contract catering, hospitality, healthcare, education, or commercial kitchens
• Ability to work confidently in different kitchen environments
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
• A flexible approach to working hours and travel
• Full driving licence and access to transport (preferred, depending on the region)
