EHS Manager – GMP
We are currently recruiting an experienced EHS Manager to oversee Environmental, Health & Safety performance on a key client site in Cork.
This is a highly client-facing position, where you will work closely with stakeholders on-site, acting as a trusted EHS advisor within a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceutical, medical device, or food manufacturing). You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Irish legislation, ISO standards, and corporate policies, while driving a strong and proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- In this role, you will be embedded on-site, delivering a high standard of EHS support directly to the client:
- Act as the primary EHS point of contact on the client site, building strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Provide expert EHS guidance within a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring compliance with strict operational and regulatory standards
- Lead the development and implementation of EHS policies aligned with Irish legislation and client requirements
- Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations across all site activities
- Manage and maintain Integrated Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) in line with company and client-specific standards
- Support and actively participate in client audits and inspections, acting as a key liaison during compliance reviews
- Work closely with site teams to ensure safe delivery of operations and projects, identifying and mitigating risks proactively
- Deliver tailored EHS training programmes for on-site teams and contractors
- Lead incident investigations and clearly communicate findings and corrective actions to stakeholders
- Prepare and present client-facing reports, audits, and performance updates
- Drive a strong safety-first culture on-site, influencing behaviours at all levels
- Manage contractor safety processes, ensuring full compliance with both GMP and client expectations
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree (Level 7+) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline
- 2-3+ years’ experience in an EHS management or advisory role, ideally within a client-facing, site-based environment
- Experience working within a GMP-regulated environment is essential (pharma, medical device, or food manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Irish EHS legislation and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience working with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems
- Strong ability to engage with clients and influence stakeholders on-site
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving ability
- Full clean driving licence (as required for site access)
