Eatery & Shop Manager – East Galway

I am currently working on behalf of my client, a global leader in contract catering and facilities management, to recruit a hands-on Eatery & Shop Manager for a busy retail and café operation in East Galway. This role is Monday – Friday.

This is a great opportunity for someone coming from a deli, food retail, or café background who enjoys leading a team, driving standards, and bringing fresh, creative ideas to a well-established offering.

This role could also suit someone currently working at supervisor level who is looking to take the next step and move into a management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the eatery and retail shop
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of 6 staff along with a deli chef
• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Plan and manage staff rosters in line with business needs
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards
• Train and support team members to maintain high operational standards
• Deliver a strong focus on customer service and experience
• Bring creative and commercial ideas to enhance the offering and drive sales
• Monitor performance, margins, and wastage to ensure efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Experience within a deli, café, or food retail environment (supervisor or management level)
• A strong people manager with the ability to lead and develop a team
• Experience in ordering, stock control, and rostering
• Good understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
• A creative, energetic approach with an interest in improving and evolving the offering
• Hands-on, organised, and commercially aware
