Catering General Manager – Hospitality & Catering Operations

I’m partnering with a leading, well-established Irish catering organisation to recruit a Catering General Manager who will take full ownership of hospitality and catering operations across a high-profile client site in Limerick. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially driven operator with a proven track record in managing food service, meetings, and events. If you’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food and service standards, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible and impactful role. This is predominantly a Monday to Friday position, with some flexibility required for occasional weekends.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee all hospitality and catering operations, including daily food service, meetings, and events
  • Take full ownership of financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, and reporting
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of chefs and front-of-house operational staff
  • Drive consistently high standards across food quality, presentation, and customer experience
  • Deliver seamless execution of meetings, corporate events, and hospitality services
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain a strong on-the-floor presence, supporting teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Produce regular operational and financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and all regulatory standards
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and suppliers

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Catering Manager, General Manager, or senior hospitality leadership role
  • Strong financial management experience with full P&L ownership
  • Experience managing both kitchen (BOH) and front-of-house teams
  • Background in delivering high-quality corporate catering, meetings, and events
  • A hands-on, visible leader with a proactive and solutions-driven approach
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and health & safety standards
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
