Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager
- Lead and support a team of technicians across daily operations
- Manage maintenance and ensure equipment runs efficiently
- Plan work schedules, shifts, and cover for the team
- Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with site procedures
- Handle equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs
- Ensure all work is logged through maintenance systems
- Maintain high standards in health & safety and quality
- Keep clear and regular communication with stakeholders
Requirements of the Facilities Manager
- Experience in facilities or maintenance management
- Background in pharma, manufacturing, or regulated environment
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Good understanding of maintenance systems and compliance
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Engineering qualification or trade background preferred
