Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager

  • Lead and support a team of technicians across daily operations
  • Manage maintenance and ensure equipment runs efficiently
  • Plan work schedules, shifts, and cover for the team
  • Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with site procedures
  • Handle equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs
  • Ensure all work is logged through maintenance systems
  • Maintain high standards in health & safety and quality
  • Keep clear and regular communication with stakeholders

Requirements of the Facilities Manager

  • Experience in facilities or maintenance management
  • Background in pharma, manufacturing, or regulated environment
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Good understanding of maintenance systems and compliance
  • Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Engineering qualification or trade background preferred
