Area Manager Agri Sales – East Cork

Are you an experienced Agri Sales professional with a strong understanding of dairy farming, animal nutrition and customer relationship management?

We are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to manage an established customer base across East Cork within a leading and highly respected Agri business.

This is a field-based Area Sales Manager position focused on maintaining and growing relationships with dairy farmers, providing technical product advice and driving sales growth across feed and fertiliser products.

The successful candidate will inherit an established territory with over 200 active accounts while also identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities for the job of Area Sales Manager Agri Sales

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of agri customers across East Cork
  • Build strong relationships with dairy farmers through regular on-site visits
  • Provide technical advice and support across feed, fertiliser and agri products
  • Drive sales growth through proactive territory management and business development
  • Identify opportunities to regain lost business and open new accounts
  • Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to maximise results
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity updates through CRM systems
  • Manage customer accounts and support credit control processes
  • Work closely with internal branch and agri teams to support overall sales performance

Skills and Requirements for the job of Area Sales Manager

  • Agricultural Science degree is essential
  • 3+ years commercial Agri Sales experience required
  • Strong knowledge of dairy farming, animal nutrition and fertiliser sales
  • Proven experience managing customer relationships within the agri sector
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage an independent territory
  • Comfortable working across field sales, office and hybrid working environments
  • Experience using CRM systems along with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Full clean driving licence required

Salary & Package:

  • €45k-€55k negotiable but must reflect experience
  • 30% performance-related bonus
  • Minimum 6% employer pension contribution
  • Hybrid working available following probation
  • Mileage package available
