Housekeeping Assistant
Excel Recruitment is currently seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our client’s team in a well-established residential care facility in North Dublin. This is a full-time permanent position offering stability, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate, respectful approach when working in a care setting. Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for this role.
This role involves 8:00am – 4:00pm shifts, Monday to Sunday, working 5 days per week on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities of the Housekeeping Assistant:
- Cleaning and maintaining residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and general surface cleaning
- Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
- Cleaning nursing stations and shared equipment
- Replenishing supplies such as soap, towels, and hygiene products
- Following cleaning schedules and hygiene protocols
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor
Requirements of the Housekeeping Assistant:
- Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience essential
- Experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Eligible to work in Ireland (PAYE employment only)
