Assistant Director of Nursing
Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a well-established nursing home located in Stillorgan, Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader looking to progress their career within a large and supportive nursing home group.
Location: Stillorgan, Dublin
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €55,000 – €65,000 DOE

Duties of the Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Support the Director of Nursing in the overall clinical and operational management of the nursing home
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents
- Monitor and maintain compliance with HIQA standards and company policies
- Lead and support nursing and care staff, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
- Conduct audits and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are implemented
- Oversee staff training, induction, and ongoing professional development
- Participate in recruitment, staffing, and workforce planning
- Assist in the management of clinical risk, incident reporting, and quality assurance
- Deputise for the Director of Nursing as required
The Assistant Director of Nursing must:
- Be a Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI PIN
- Have a minimum of 3 years management experience in the care of the elderly
- Hold a post-registration management qualification or be working towards same
- Demonstrate strong clinical, leadership, and organisational skills
- Have a proven track record in clinical governance and quality standards
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be driven, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards of care
