Area Sales Manager Electrical Wholesaler

Do you have strong electrical product knowledge and a background in sales?

If yes… my client, a well-known electrical wholesaler with over thirty branches nationwide is offering a fantastic opportunity to manage accounts and drive new business across North Leinster.

You will be based out of the Navan branch, but with the majority of your days out on the road speaking with existing and potential customers.

As Area Sales Manager your role is primarily focused on developing new business, strengthening key customer relationships, and driving margin performance, while leveraging new and existing accounts to drive sales back into your branch.

You will also gain exposure to branch operations, in an assistant manager function, by occasionally covering for the branch manager to support the team and branch.

You must have proven sales experience within electrical wholesale, industrial supplies or a related sector, with a track record of achieving KPI targets.

• Salary €60k-€70k

Area Sales Manager Responsibilities

• Drive sales and margin performance across Navan and North Leinster
• Identify, target and win new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers
• Lead negotiations on pricing and commercial terms while protecting margin
• Develop and execute sales plans to increase market share in the region
• Monitor KPIs and performance, implementing improvements where required
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain a structured approach to account management
• Collaborate with purchasing and marketing on product focus and promotions
• Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial planning

Branch Manager Support Responsibilities

• Manage the branch in the absence of the store manager
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth branch performance
• Work closely with Purchasing to ensure product availability and promotion execution.
