Excel Recruitment is seeking a Design & AutoCAD Coordinator for our client who specialises in storage and industrial solutions. This role is ideal for a technically focused professional whose primary strength lies in AutoCAD design, layout planning, and technical drawing support. The position plays a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and commercially viable design solutions to support customer projects and the wider sales function.

Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and technical plans for storage and industrial systems
• Translate customer and sales requirements into clear, accurate design solutions
• Prepare design-based documentation to support quotations and proposals
• Review layouts for accuracy, compliance, and efficient use of space
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to finalise design details
• Maintain organised and up-to-date design records within the CRM system
• Support continuous improvement of design standards and drawing processes

Requirements

• Strong experience using AutoCAD in a technical or design environment
• Background in design, technical support, or industrial/layout planning roles
• Ability to interpret drawings, measurements, and technical specifications
• High attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple design tasks
• Experience in storage systems, logistics, racking, or industrial environments is an advantage
