Excel Recruitment is currently hiring on behalf of a prominent retailer in Ireland for a skilled butcher to join their team in Knock, Co.Mayo .

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for butchery and a strong background in delivering high-quality cuts.

Salary: €16ph – €17ph

Role Responsibilities of this Butcher:

• Expertise in all aspects of meat cutting, including deboning, trimming, and portioning
• Ensuring strict adherence to food safety standards and HAACP compliance
• Efficient management of inventory, stock rotation, and orders to maintain freshness and availability
• Providing outstanding customer service, offering advice on meat selection and preparation
• Operating and maintaining butcher equipment and tools to high standards

Requirements of this Butcher:

• Proven experience as a butcher, ideally within a retail environment
• In-depth knowledge of meat cuts, handling, and processing techniques
• Familiarity with HAACP standards and food safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
