Retail Area Manager – Home/ DIY/ Agri

Our client, a market leader in the Agri, Trade, and home DIY sectors, is seeking a Retail Area Manager to oversee the operations and performance of multiple stores within Munster. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, results-driven leader with strong business and commercial acumen to make a real impact.

In this role, you’ll ensure outstanding service delivery, support key business initiatives, and work closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. You’ll ensure seamless store operations, manage new store openings and provide essential leadership support. Duties and Responsibilities of the Retail Area Manager:

  • Regularly review sales performance for each store against targets, taking action to improve results where needed.
  • Develop and support Store Managers and their teams to build competence and drive success.
  • Lead by example, setting high standards in professionalism, dedication, and customer service to boost sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Carry out regular store audits, oversee stock management, and resolve any issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
  • Support store managers in driving all KPI’s and delivering success across all departments
  • Ensure all stores are delivering the best in class in terms of service, engagement, knowledge and standards.

Skills Required of the Retail Area Manager:

  • 5-7+ years of multisite area management experience within a high-volume retail environment, ideally in grocery or non-food sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Agriculture is essential
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Skilled at interpreting commercial and operational reports
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people effectively, driving results through teamwork, motivation, and genuine employee engagement.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office with a strong analytical skillset and commercial awareness.
