Delivery Driver Helper

13.5 per hourly Transport and Logistics Cork city

Excel Recruitment is looking for a reliable General operative to assist the delivery driver in the safe, timely, and professional transportation and delivery of household goods to customer homes and business locations across Cork and surrounding areas.

This is a 3 month contract with the view of long term employment.

Monday – Friday shift pattern

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of household goods and furniture

  • Ensure items are handled with care to prevent damage

  • Help navigate delivery routes and communicate with the driver

  • Assemble furniture or appliances on-site when required

  • Provide excellent customer service, including handling queries or delivery concerns

  • Support with basic paperwork or digital delivery logs

  • Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and assist with daily inspections

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a removals, logistics, or furniture delivery setting (preferred)

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Punctual, reliable, and well-presented

  • Willingness to travel throughout Cork city and county

  • Manual Handling Certification (desirable – can be provided)

  • Knowledge of Cork routes is an advantage
