Electronic Technician – Cork

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled Electronic Technician for our client’s exciting entertainment business based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment, working hands-on with state-of-the-art electronic and machine systems in a unique and fast-paced industry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for electronics, fault-finding, and hands-on problem solving, particularly with PC-based systems and digital hardware.

Salary: €35k – €40k

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues, including touchscreens and external peripherals
• Assist non-technical staff and customers by clearly explaining technical issues
• Accurately record all maintenance, repairs, and breakdown reports
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, documentation, and safety standards
• Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives
• Support and assist with the training of junior Technicians as required
• Maintain effective spare part management and stock control
• Travel to other locations when necessary

Requirements:

• 1+ years’ experience in PC or electronics repair, custom PC builds, or technical support
• Proficiency in soldering, chip replacement, and basic board-level repair
• Experience in electronics debugging and fault finding
• An electronic qualification or relevant repair centre experience is highly desirable
• A genuine passion for technology and eagerness to learn new systems
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and collaborate with others
• Full clean driving licence and access to transport is a bonus, but not essential
