Warehouse Forklift Operative
Excel Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Warehouse Operative to join our client, a customer-focused Trade Home DIY and Garden Centre based in Galway.

Location: Galway
Salary: €15 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:30am – 4:30/5:30pm
Contract Type: Temporary (with view to permanency)
Key Responsibilities
Forklift Duties, Forklift certificate required.
Receive, check, and store incoming deliveries accurately.
Pick and prepare customer and trade orders for collection or delivery.
Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from vehicles.
Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, stored, and rotated.
Maintain clean, organised, and safe warehouse areas in line with Health & Safety regulations.
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory control.
Report damaged, missing, or incorrect stock promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Liaise with shop floor staff and delivery drivers to ensure timely order fulfilment.
Adhere to all company safety, stock handling, and operational procedures.
Requirements
Essential:
Previous experience in a warehouse, trade counter, or stock-handling environment.
- Forklift Certificate & Manual Handling Certificate
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
