Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting a Social Care Worker for a client in Galway. This healthcare facility will cater to both adult and children with intellectual disabilities.

There are multiple opportunities all over the Galway area. Shifts are 7 days a week, with rotation on days, nights and sleepovers.

The ideal candidate for this role would have experience within the Irish healthcare system, however candidates with social care experience outside of Ireland are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, offer social work services. When it is appropriate, participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and meetings.

• Provide assistance, guidance, and community resource mobilisation to carers in order to aid and counsel them.
• Be familiar with and work in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate up to date records and files and submit activity data as required.
• Ensure the maintenance of service user and data confidentiality.

Requirements for this Social Care Worker job:

• Social Studies qualification or similar
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferably hold a clean, full Irish driver’s licence and owe a car
