Senior Store Manager – Designate

Our client, a leader in DIY and home enhancement retailing is seeking to recruit a Senior Store Manager to join one of their stores in Dublin. With big box stores nationwide this is an opportunity suited to a commercial and operational Retail Manager with strong business acumen, experience in managing the business P&L, and a proven track record in delivering KPIs.

The successful candidate will be joining an award-winning retailer who are renowned as a fantastic place to work!

As Store Manager, you will lead your team through phenomenal leadership, ensuring excellent service and standards, and create and implement a store business plan to increase customer base and store profitability.

This is a great job opportunity for a commercial and operational Senior Store Manager with experience in managing large teams, high turnovers, and big box stores.

Skills and experience required for this job:

  • 5+ years of senior store management experience in grocery, DIY retail, or high volume big box retail
  • Experience in managing a large turnover of €5+ million essential
  • Experience in managing 10,000+ sq ft stores
  • An inspirational leader with experience in leading teams of 30+
  • Excellent commercial, visual, and customer service skills
  • Target-driven with a commercial focus
  • Excellent operational and planning skills

Responsibilities of this job include:

  • Motivating, encouraging, and developing a strong support management team
  • Manage your P&L and ensure all departmental margins are in line with store profitability
  • Implement retail priorities and effectively communicate targets and objectives
  • Communicate and drive all KPI’s across your leadership team and colleagues
  • Liaise closely with the suppliers and Head Office buying teams on product sales and space allocations
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is in place throughout the store and that this company culture is met by all staff through coaching, managing, and reporting
  • Ensure all store policies and procedures are carried out and adhered to at all times
  • Monitor stock loss and implement strategies to reduce company deficit costs
  • Analyse sales reports and react accordingly to grow or maintain profits, margin and sales
  • Manage all store HR Issues, performance management, appraisals, and succession planning and revert back to HR Director
