Senior Sous Chef
Excel Recruitment is looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join a respected private members club in Dublin. This role offers a steady, well-organised kitchen, and the chance to take real ownership alongside a supportive Executive Chef.

Responsibilities of the Senior Sous Chef
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen operations
- Lead during service and oversee prep, cooking, and plating
- Maintain high standards of food quality, flavour, and presentation
- Support, train, and mentor junior chefs
- Assist with menu ideas, seasonal dishes, and event menus
- Ensure all HACCP and food safety procedures are followed
- Manage ordering, stock control, and cost-awareness in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver a smooth service for members
Requirements of the Senior Sous Chef
- Proven background as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy, quality kitchen
- Valid work permit and supporting documentation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm during busy service and support the wider team
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Flexibility with shifts, including some evenings and weekends for events
- Genuine interest in food quality, consistency, and seasonal cooking
