Contract Type: Full-time, 12 month specified purpose contract
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: Aligned with HSE pay scales for the appropriate Senior grade.
Excel Recruitment have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join a Primary care team in Castletroy, Limerick.
We are recruiting on behalf of a progressive and well-structured Primary Care service, where you will work alongside a Senior Physiotherapist’s, a Senior Occupational Therapists, and a Senior Speech and Language Therapist’s.

About the Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist in this Primary care Community Team, you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and supporting patients in the community. Your work will help individuals regain mobility, maintain independence, and improve their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and treatments for individuals of all ages with a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and age-related conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Occupational Therapist, a second Senior Physiotherapist, and a Physiotherapy Assistant to deliver patient-centred care.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that address each patient’s specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Facilitate early hospital discharge by delivering rehabilitation and reablement interventions within the community.
- Liaise with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
- Participate in regular supervision, peer learning, and professional development to enhance clinical expertise.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives to optimise patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.

Requirements:
- BSc in Physiotherapy.
- CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Minimum of three years of post-graduate Physiotherapy experience, with at least one year at Senior level (preferably in a community or rehabilitation setting).
- Strong experience in, Rehabilitation, falls prevention, Musculoskeletal, and/or Neurological Physiotherapy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Full clean driver’s license and access to a car for community visits.
