Hospitality Operations Manager – Bar, Restaurant & Live Music Venue (Wexford)
I’m working with my client, a thriving bar, restaurant, and live‑music venue in Wexford, to recruit a talented Hospitality Operations Manager who can bring energy, creativity, and strong operational leadership to their team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to drive daily operations, uphold exceptional standards, and help shape the atmosphere across all areas of the venue. You’ll have the opportunity to introduce fresh ideas that enhance events, promotions, and guest engagement, while staying connected to nightlife trends and the live‑music culture that keeps the venue vibrant and relevant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee smooth operations across bar, restaurant, and entertainment spaces
- Lead from the front during busy shifts, events, and live performances
- Ensure exceptional service standards and maintain a warm, engaging guest environment
- Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally
- Maintain strong hygiene, safety, and compliance standards throughout the venue
- Train, coach, and support staff to deliver consistent, high‑quality service
- Motivate the team and promote strong communication and teamwork
- Use local insights and trends to support event programming and entertainment bookings
- Suggest new ideas to keep the venue exciting and guest‑focused
- Handle cash‑ups, cash handling, and accurate end‑of‑shift financial procedures
- Support broader venue goals and operational strategies
The Ideal Candidate
- Brings 3-5 years’ experience in a hospitality management or senior supervisory position
- Has a strong background in busy bar, late‑night, or high‑volume environments
- Experience within live‑music venues or event‑driven operations is a major advantage
- Naturally hands‑on, energetic, and people‑focused, with a genuine love for hospitality
- Confident leading a team and motivating staff in fast‑paced, high‑energy settings
- Creative thinker who can contribute new ideas for events, promotions, and guest engagement
- Calm under pressure with excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills
- Strong communicator who builds positive relationships with staff, management, and guests
- Passionate about nightlife trends, local music culture, and the wider hospitality scene
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and event shifts
- Takes pride in maintaining excellent service standards, hygiene, and venue presentation
- Professional, proactive, and eager to grow within a vibrant, entertainment‑focused venue
