Excel Healthcare are currently recruiting Locum Doctors for hospitals and nursing homes all over Ireland.

Responsibilities of this Locum Doctor job:

• Provide an excellent service to the medical community, covering for regular doctors when they’re on leave.
• Perform normal healthcare duties but have to be more flexible in their hours and work location.
• Adjust to assignments by learning about an organisation and meeting staff and patients
• Correspond with a permanent doctor with questions about patients
• Interview patients about medical history and feelings of pain or illness
• Conduct physical examinations to assess the patient’s health condition
• Order biological samples and diagnostic tests
• Analyse exam findings and test results to determine diagnoses
• Develop unique treatment plans and explain them to patients
• Administer medications and vaccinations
• Review and update a patient’s medical charts
• Refer patients to specialist physicians
• Educate patients on preventative care
• All other duties

Requirements

• Registered with the Irish Medical Council
• Relevent insurance
