Key Account Manager – FMCG

My client, based in North Dublin is a leading distribution company selling into the Grocery, Convenience Home, Garden and DIY sectors.

They are looking to expand their team and are recruiting an experienced Key Account Manager to manage retail accounts across Ireland.

Competitive salary negotiable but must reflect experience, Sales Bonus, Pension and Discounted Health Insurance.

This job is mainly office based but you will need a car for meetings with customers (expenses for mileage will be covered)

Responsibilities for the job of Key Account Manager:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all clients while building and nurturing trusted, long-lasting relationships
  • Manage and grow several key retail accounts, delivering agreed plans both in store and online
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, reaching revenue goals
  • Supply regular market information, trends, new technologies
  • Presenting NPD to key retailers
  • Continuously maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients through quarterly face to face meetings
  • Implement best-practice pipeline, sales forecasting, and opportunity management
  • Work cross functionally with the purchasing and graphic design team to ensure clients specific needs are looked after end to end
  • The achievement of budgeted sales and margin targets
  • Manage day-to-day operations and coordinate with other internal functions with the aim of providing a best-in-class service to the customer
  • Fostering of strong working relationships with relevant customers in order to ensure delivery of agreed business plans
  • Deliver clear Joint Business Plans and promotional plans and spend within agreed timeframe
  • Day to day administrative tasks to ensure all customers have marketing and launch assets, promotional asset forms and sufficient stocks at all times
