Key Account Manager
My client based in Clonakilty Cork manufactures and sells their products into Agriculture, Construction, Environmental, Fuel and Energy sectors across Ireland and Europe.
This is predominantly a desk-based job with occasional travel to Irish clients once or twice per month and European travel approximately four times per year (just two nights or so abroad).
A well-established Irish business they are looking for a Key Account Manager to look after current key customers across Ireland and Europe – a mix of end users and distributors.
The ideal candidate must have a track record of selling and sales examples to back up their experience – B2B sales would be ideal.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional to build strong client partnerships and drive new revenue growth.
Salary is up to €55k however maybe negotiable but must reflect experience. Other additional benefits will be discussed on application.
Responsibilities for the job of Key Account Manager
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing key accounts for both Irish & European customers
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue within each account
- Drive sales and actively seek new business opportunities to acquire new customers, with a focus on growth in the European market
- Generate progress reports for customers and directors
- Develop a thorough understanding of products to better upsell and cross-sell to customers
Requirements for the job of Key Account Manager
- Proven experience in ideally B2B sales
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive business expansion.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work as part of a team
- Fluency in English – spoken and written
- Full clean drivers licence
