Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Intensive Caseworker on a permanent full-time basis, servicing the Belfast area with a salary of £25,000 per year.

Our client is a local charity that provides a wide range of services to people across Belfast who experience homelessness along with mental health illness, substance misuse and challenging behaviours.

This opportunity offers working hours of Monday – Friday, 9 – 5 although there may a requirement to work outside these hours to meet service needs.

Responsibilities:

With a full, detailed copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

• Have responsibility for managing a caseload of around 7 – 10 individuals with complex needs, poor physical and mental health, substance misuse, offending, trauma and continued periods of homelessness.
• Deliver effective case management for the individuals.
• Cover the Belfast area so a driving licence and access to a car will be required.

Requirements:

• 2-year minimum experience supporting those with multiple and complex needs, including working knowledge of mental health illness and substance misuse.
• Formal qualification i.e., Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Highly experienced in trauma-informed practice.
• Experienced in delivering emotional/practical support.
• Able to build rapport, engage, break down barriers and able to negotiate/influence effectively.
• IT proficient with the ability to analyse and present information confidently.
• Clean driving licence and access to a car to meet service needs.
